DENTAL ASSISTANTS
Our assistants are not only the BEST at their job, but they make it a fun and relaxing place to be! Our dental assistants greatly increase the efficiency of Jeffrey L. Angart, DDS and the quality dental work he provides for you. They have various duties that include:
- making you feel comfortable before, during and after your appointment
- providing instruction for oral care after procedures such as fillings, crowns, veneers and surgeries.
- taking impressions of teeth for study casts, crowns, bite guards and whitening.
- preparing and sterilizing instruments
- and taking radiographs.
EXPANDED FUNCTIONS DENTAL ASSISTANT
An extension of a dental assistant is an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA). An EFDA has undergone extensive training designed to enhance restorative dentistry. They are board certified and have over 200 hours of course work to aid in helping the dentist to place restorations.
Both Melanie and Lily have passed their Expanded Functions Board Exams and help Jeffrey L. Angart, DDS with additional restorative procedures.
