Keep Smiling with these Teeth Tips

Stick to these tips and enjoy a brighter, healthier smile:
  1. Brush twice a day with soft bristles or an electric toothbrush to remove plaque and prevent cavities.  Use a pea-sized amount of fluoridated toothpaste — more is too abrasive — and brush all surfaces of your teeth and tongue.
  2. Use a soft-bristled brush or a Sonicare that is gentle on teeth and gums.  Replaced your brush every 3 months, after an illness or if the bristles show wear.
  3. Floss daily.  Seriously.  Your toothbrush only removes 60% of the bacteria in your mouth.  Use waxed or flat floss to ease the process.  Floss holder, picks and in-between brushes work well, too.
  4. Schedule regular exams and cleanings with your dentist, at least twice yearly.
