At New Albany Smiles, we are pleased to invest in the latest technology for your comfort, well-being and overall dental satisfaction. Our office is highly experienced with using lasers-in fact, we’ve been performing laser dentistry since 2006.

In 2020, we added a Fotona laser to our collection. This industry-leading tool is an all-in-one hard and soft tissue laser for virtually painless and noninvasive dentistry.

The Fotona laser is so seamless and painless that many patients who choose laser dentistry for fillings don’t need numbing shots.

Like our innovative Waterlase by Biolase® laser, Fotona treatment will not cost more than traditional procedures. Dr. Angart and the team will work closely with you to determine which method is best for your needs and prioritize your comfort throughout the entire treatment process.

What Special Procedures Will New Albany Smiles Do With the Fotona Laser?

Not only will this laser help mitigate dental anxiety and fear of the dentist by providing a virtually painless and quiet treatment option, our laser is also equipped for NightLase® snoring treatments.

If you struggle with sleep apnea, excessive snoring or poor quality of sleep, we can perform NightLase® therapy on the soft tissues inside your mouth. This procedure is very noninvasive and has a high success rate in improving sleep quality and patterns for patients. 

In particular, this treatment provides patients with benefits like:

• Safe, non-invasive treatment
• Lessened impact of sleep apnea and snoring
• Increased quality of sleep
• Very easy treatment to perform

For patients with sleep apnea, therapy removes the need for sleep devises or chemical treatments. We can complete a full round of NightLase® therapy with three separate treatment sessions over a six-week period. Results last up to a year, and we can do another round of maintenance if need be.
