Toothbrushes – which are best?
Is there really a difference between tooth brushes?
An electric toothbrush, like a SoniCare or Oral B, is far superior to any manual toothbrush. If you prefer a manual toothbrush, always use soft bristles and change it every 3-4 months or when it starts to look worn.
A medium or hard toothbrush does not bend and flex around the anatomy of a tooth like a soft toothbrush does. In addition, medium and hard toothbrushes cause microscopic scratches on the enamel that lead to more plaque and stain over time. With any toothbrush, be sure to brush for two minutes, at least twice daily.
