Important Announcement Regarding COVID-19

UPDATE: 5/4/2020

Dear Patients,

We hope this message finds you healthy during these challenging times with COVID-19.

Local officials have notified us that it is safe to reopen for business again! New Albany Smiles will officially be re-opening for routine care on Monday, May 11th, 2020.

Our facility has been designed to be easily sanitized and features a state-of-the-art custom sterilization center. We have implemented additional precautions for our team and our patients, to ensure the safety and health of everyone.

APPOINTMENTS:

We will continue working on rescheduling missed appointments as efficiently as possible. Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. Below are new protocols patients should expect at their next appointment, in order to protect our patients and our team:

  • When your appointment is confirmed, we will outline specific pre-appointment instructions and ask pre-screening questions for your safety.
  • Upon arrival for an appointment, patients are instructed to wait in their cars and call the office at 614-775-0840 to let us know they are here.
  • When their treatment room is ready, a member of our team will come outside and escort the patient into the office where we will take your temperature.
  • As always, if you are not feeling well, we encourage you to call so that we can reschedule your appointment.
  • We have implemented credit and debit card prepayment for treatment so patients don’t have to wait at the front desk when they leave.

We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors, and friends.

Sincerely,
Dr. Jeffrey Angart and Staff

All non-essential or elective dental procedures that utilize personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves and masks, will be postponed through April 6, 2020. UPDATE 3/17/2020

At New Albany Smiles we take the health and safety of our patients and team members very seriously.

While the Ohio Dental Board has yet to officially close dental offices, we feel that as a dental healthcare provider we have a moral obligation and social responsibility to our community. We need to be proactive and postpone non-emergency appointments until Friday, March 20, 2020, including all routine dental cleanings. If you are currently scheduled for treatment, a member of our team will contact you regarding your scheduled appointment.

We fully understand the inconvenience this places on our patients and their families, but by postponing all of our non-emergency appointments, we will be doing our part in helping to “flatten the curve”.

We will make ourselves available to any patient experiencing a dental emergency. Please call our office directly at (614) 775-0840 or Dr. Angart at (614) 563-2513. If you have any questions regarding an appointment you currently have scheduled, please feel free to call/text our office for clarification.

We are hopeful that the Ohio Department of Health, the Ohio State Dental Board, and the CDC will also be able to give us more guidance on how to move forward that ensures safety for all. We will continue to stay in contact with our patients for further updates as we receive them.

We are grateful for your continued support. Thank you for joining us in taking extra precautions to keep yourself and the community safe.

Thank you,
Jeffrey L. Angart, DDS
